Jogada support
Help is asked for from inside the game, and the answer comes back in the same place. This page explains what to put in the message so the problem is solved the first time.
Nobody from Jogada will ever ask you for your password or your access code. Not in a message inside the game, not by email, not by telephone. The code that arrives by SMS or by email is what opens your account: it is yours and nobody else's. If somebody asks you for it, that person is not support.
How to ask for help
There is a help screen inside the game. You write what happened, send the message, and a person on the team reads it. The reply appears in that same screen, so you do not need to leave a phone number or watch an inbox.
If the problem is that you cannot get in at all, the game's own site has the same way of getting in touch.
The game and its site are still in Portuguese. You can write your request in English all the same.
What to put in the message
The more specific the message, the fewer rounds it takes. These four things are almost always enough.
- What happened, and when
- The day and roughly the time, and what you were doing at that moment: signing in, waiting at a table, playing a hand.
- Your player name
- The name you appear under at the table. That is what finds the account. Your password is never needed.
- What you were playing on
- Phone or computer, and which browser. A good many display problems depend on that alone.
- A picture of the screen
- If the fault is visible, a screenshot saves half the conversation. It is not required.
What never to send
Your password, your access code and any bank details stay out of the message. None of them is ever needed to fix a fault, and no genuine message from the team will ask you for them. If you get one that does, do not answer it.
Common questions
- How do I contact Jogada support?
- From inside the game. There is a help screen where you write what happened. Somebody on the team reads it, and the reply appears in that same screen, so there is no address to keep and no inbox to watch.
- Will anyone from Jogada ask me for my password?
- No. Not in a message inside the game, not by email, not by telephone. The code that arrives by SMS or by email is what opens your account. If somebody asks you for it, that person is not support.
- What language should I write my support request in?
- English is fine. The reply may come back in English or in Portuguese, depending on who reads it that day. If it arrives in Portuguese and something is not clear, ask for it again in English. Nobody minds being asked twice.
If the question is about the rules
A good share of the messages are not faults at all, but questions about the game: when the morto is picked up, why a canastra (a meld of seven cards or more) counts as dirty, what you need before you can go out. Those are set out on the buraco rules page, and reading it is usually quicker than waiting for an answer.
